Interview with Patricia Brister

What is it about this type of practice that attracts you?

By practicing as in-house legal counsel you aren’t left with a feeling that you are “on the outside looking in”. You are working with your clients to advance the interests of the corporation on terms that reflect their culture and values. You feel their day-to-day operational pressures and have an opportunity to make their lives simpler and more secure by supporting them. There is no shortage of challenging work, learning opportunities and people to work with.

How do you think you make a difference for clients' with Simplex's offerings?

The Simplex model allows clients to access legal support on whatever terms make sense for their business. We can assist them onsite, on a 9-5 schedule or remotely, on an as-needed basis, subject to whatever their budgetary requirements may be. Our lawyers are senior practitioners, with experience in a variety of disciplines acquired at top-tier law firms, who are able to hit the ground running and provide meaningful support with no oversight.

Patricia would love to hear from you
